Low winter sun is not always the best conditions in which to take pictures,  but after being "locked up" for much of the winter it is good to stretch the legs in the fresh sea air! Even though it was bitingly cold I did manage to see a few hardy birds during a couple of walks along the shore at Skerries, Co. Dublin.
